Kent Peterson has been a broadcaster for over 40 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years. He has an Associate Degree in Broadcasting, a Bachelors degree Minor in Broadcasting Major in History and a Masters Degree in Public Administration. Kent has severed in various leadership positions in the military as well as volunteer organizations. He was the District 12 District Governor for Toastmasters from 2014-2015.

Charlotte has been a Toastmaster since 2004 and belongs to two clubs: Toast of the Towne in LaVerne, CA and Master Motivators, Claremont, CA. She has served in all club officer position with the exception of Treasurer and two District positions: Area Governor and Division A Governor. She has chaired Toastmasters Leadership Institute multiple times. She received her Distinguished Toastmaster Award in July, 2014 and her Qualified Speaker Award November, 2015.

Charlotte has been an educator: teacher, principal, and university professor both here and abroad. She received her Ph,D in Conflict Management from University of S——of England in 2001. She has lived in four countries abroad with her military husband and family. She just returned recently from living eight years in Cairo, Egypt.

Charlotte has served in different capacities with volunteer organizations: Girl Scouts, American Cancer Society, and MFI Recovery and Inland Valley Recovery Services in the Inland Empire.

Her hobbies include playing piano, reading, writing and speaking. She enjoys sailing, diving, swimming and traveling.

MELINDA SEWER MUGANZO, DTM, QS

Melinda received a Bachelor of Science degree in Office Administration from Oakwood College in 1984 and a Master of Business Administration from Florida Metro University in 1992. She works for Flex Ed as an Affiliate Leadership Instructor. She served as Faculty On-call degree at Everest College teaching courses in Business. Additionallg she spent 15 years working for Loma Linda University Medical Center in the Human Resource Management department in major leadership roles.

Melinda is a sought after motivational speaker for business organizations, educational institutions, healthcare organizations and churches. She is the founder/owner of Make Success A Mindset . Through the company she provides seminars on personal and leadership development, interpersonal relationships, and communication.

Melinda is a contributing author in the book Mastering the Art of Success with Les Brown, Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen. The 11 – year Toastmaster belongs to Club 290 : Grand Terrace Toastmasters. She has been recognized by many professional organizations for her leadership and speaking skills. She is a single mom and has 2 daughters .

MICHAEL OSUR, DTM, QS

Michael Osur is the Deputy Director for the Riverside County Department of Public Health, and has held this position since 2002. He is responsible for leading the Special Services Division, which includes HIV/AIDS, Nutrition Services, Tobacco Control, Injury Prevention Services, Public Health Laboratory and the Healthy Riverside County/Building Healthy Communities Initiatives. He oversees more than 300 staff with a combined budget of over $35 million.

Under Mr. Osur’s leadership, Riverside County has received numerous awards including the American Public Health Association, National Public Health Week recognition of Riverside County as a “Blue Ribbon Model Community,” for its work in “Designing Healthy Communities, Raising Healthy Kids.”; the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Challenge Awards for “Creating Livable Communities. In 2011, Mr. Osur was the runner-up for the National Public Health Leadership Network’s Balderson Leadership Project Award.

Since 2002, Michael has been an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Loma Linda University School of Allied Health where he teaches Healthcare Management

Michael has presented at numerous state and national conferences on Healthy Communities. In April 2013, Mr. Osur received the American Planning Association National Planning Excellence Award for a Planning Advocate and in 2015 received the Southern California Public Health Association Leadership Award.

ROSALYN CARTER, DTM QS

Roz Carter Rosalyn was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and moved to California with her family when she was 10 years old. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. She has served in various community organizations including United Way of the Inland Valleys and California School Administrators Association. She received the Moreno Valley Black Chamber of Commerce Humanitarian of the Year award in 2011.

Rosalyn has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources at the Auto Club of Southern California and Moreno Valley Unified School District. She was also executive assistant to the city manager in Moreno Valley and the pastor of her church. She is retired and enjoying quality time with her family.

Before women could join Toastmasters, Rosalyn Carter was a member of Toastmistress for 11 years. In 2005, she joined Toastmasters and has served in most club officer positions as well as TLI and Fall Conference Co-Chair, Division Governor, District Public Relations Officer, Lt. Governor Marketing, Lt. Governor Education & Training, and District Governor. She is currently an Ambassador for Toastmasters International’s Revitalized Education Program (REP), which is scheduled to launch in 2016. She is also a newly appointed Area Director for E3.

Rosalyn has presented workshops on leadership, coaching, mentoring, speaker to trainer, communication, club quality, public relations and team building for Toastmasters and other organizations. She has helped launch and rescue many clubs and received awards for marketing, education and training.
